Dear Reader,

My name is Alexandra Chirila and this is my travel blog: Roaring Romania.

I am a foreign languages graduate, history nerd, Oscar Wilde fan infected with the traveler virus. My wanderlust is so annoying that I get excited about everyone’s vacations and sometimes I end up actually planning them.

Recently I decided to give the world some peace and instead tour this country of mine. The blog only followed naturally.

Whenever I plan a vacation my first go-to is a traditional guide book where I check the sights then head for the travel blogs for ideas and opinions to put together an itinerary of my liking. I do want to see the popular places but also to search for authentic experiences so I can have a real taste about the country I’m visiting.

This is also the goal of my writings: to find stories and information on both the popular and the hidden and maybe help you on your way to discover roaring Romania.
